FAQs
Where is Bennett Livestock located?
Bennett Livestock is located in Hathaway, MT We’ve been raising cattle and farming in this region for over 32 years.
What kind of beef do you raise?
We raise high-quality, Montana-grown beef with a focus on ethical ranching and sustainable farming. Our cattle are raised on open pastures and finished on a balanced grain diet to ensure premium taste and tenderness.
How do you feed your cattle?
Our cattle start on pasture grass and are later transitioned to a ration of silage, grain, and hay, almost all of which is grown on our ranch. Our grain-finished steers are fed a carefully balanced diet, gaining about four pounds per day, ensuring high-quality, flavorful beef.

We do not use growth hormones in our cattle. Antibiotics are only used if absolutely necessary for the health of an animal, and we follow strict withdrawal periods to ensure there are no residues in the meat.
What does "grain-finished" mean?
Grain-finishing means that after grazing on pastures, our steers are fed a balanced diet of grain, silage, and hay to enhance marbling and tenderness. This process results in the rich, flavorful beef that our customers love.
How is your beef different from store-bought beef?
Our beef is locally raised, sustainably farmed, and comes directly from our family ranch to your table. Unlike mass-produced beef found in grocery stores, our cattle are raised with care, fed homegrown feed, and handled humanely.
